To include the
code to output PDF within the ACRO software would considerably increase
it's size, but a simple solution is to add a PDF printer driver to your
computer and "print" the ACRO document to it to make the
PDF file that you want. There are many PDF print stream
convertors available, most of which carry a moderate price tag or need
an additional Postscript file generator that turns each output into
a two-stage operation.
PDF ReDirect from EXP Systems LLC is a very good
FREE solution. You
can download it by clicking the button above.
Note: In some browsers you'll need to right-click and select "Save Target As ..." to
transfer the file.
When you have got the file into a suitable target folder (on your
Desktop is simplest) double-click it to install. The result is a
new printer driver "PDF reDirect v2" in your usual printers folder. You
can delete the installation file you downloaded as soon as the software is
installed and running. PDF reDirect will also create PDF's for any other
application that you use in your computer - again, just print to the new
printer-driver.
To make a PDF file from ACRO select Preview or Print on the Output
menu, and when print-file processing has finished select the
"PDF reDirect v2" printer driver to output the result. You can revise
the filename and target folder as you wish, select one or more
other/existing PDF files to merge with this one if necessary, and save
the result in the usual way. Note: If your ACRO Print stream
sends the output directly to your printer, either use Preview and then
click the printer icon, or go to File > File and System Utilities >
Contest File Options and un-check the "Print directly to the default
printer ..." option to make sure you get a list of available printers
each time.

To read your PDF files you'll require some free PDF reader software
installed on your computer. Foxit Reader is an excellent FREE alternative to
Adobe Reader, and you can download it by clicking the
